The Archbishop Chapelle High School Viewbook
Dear
Future
Chipmunk,
I am thrilled that you have chosen to explore everything that Chapelle has to offer you!
I know that there are several great options for your high school choice, but I want you to know that the BEST option for you is Archbishop Chapelle High School. I could go on and on about the life-long friendships you will make, the endless opportunities to get involved, the personalized schedules you will create, and the countless ways you can encounter Christ. However, the most important reason to choose Chapelle is that you will be valued for who you truly are, while being encouraged and supported to grow into the person you aspire to become.
At Chapelle, our mission is to help you grow spiritually, academically, and socially. We offer a challenging curriculum, led by faculty who know you by name and backed by an administration that wants to see you succeed. You will have three chances every day to visit your teachers for guidance, and time set aside each day to get a head start on homework and studying. We also know that learning does not stop at the classroom door. Whether you love European history, anatomy, or engineering, you could travel to Europe with our Foreign Language Department, practice your skills in the LSU Nursing Simulation Lab, or shadow an engineer at Intralox. We bring learning to life!
Beyond academics, you will find more than 60 clubs, competitive and intramural sports, music, dance, and the Chapelle traditions that make these five years the best of your life. Rally, VooBoo, and Pink Week are only a few of the ways you and your friends will share your Chipmunk spirit and make Chapelle your home.
And in our home, we live by our motto, Deus Providebit, God Will Provide. The faith community here is unmatched, because we know that our devotion to God is the root of everything we do. Through focused instruction, retreats, Masses, Communion services, and a strong Campus Ministry program, we walk with each girl as she grows in her faith and in service to others.

JOURNEY

To the Archbishop Chapelle High School community, Deus Providebit...God Will Provide, is much more than a motto. It is a way of life rooted in the Catholic Faith. Our Lady of Prompt Succor...hasten to help us, is an intercession that is prayed after every prayer on campus because Mary is our patroness, our model, and our spiritual mother. Truly, Christ is the reason for our school. He is the foundation for our administrators, faculty, and students, and the Chapelle family strives to glorify God in all we do.
Our school invites all students into an authentically Catholic atmosphere where they are challenged to deepen their faith, advance in knowledge of the truths of Catholicism, and grow in virtue. From annual class retreats to daily prayer and the Sacraments, students are constantly invited into a life with Christ. Every day, the Chapel is open to them for daily Mass, Communion Services, the Rosary, Bible Study, and Adoration, and the entire school community celebrates Mass together each month.

Archbishop Placide Louis Chapelle's coat of arms features the term "Deus Providebit." Using this as our motto, Chapelle continues to celebrate our namesake daily in prayer by reciting "Deus Providebit . . . God Will Provide."
Visible from Veterans Memorial Boulevard, the Incarnate Word Hall Chapel will be large enough to host a full grade level with seating for 270. It will be used as a sacred space for prayer, worship, and the formation of young women in faith.
ENCOUNTER
CHRIST
In addition to the Theology courses taught each year at Chapelle, students have many opportunities to encounter Christ on campus weekly, monthly, and yearly.

Associate Head of School
I genuinely love being a part of the academic program at Chapelle, and it brings me great pride to watch our students succeed during their time here, as they continue their education in college, and throughout their professional careers. As the mother of three Chapelle graduates, I know firsthand the impact of a Chapelle education. But my love for this school extends far beyond my own daughters.
My goal is for every student and family to know that the academic decisions I help make are guided by that same level of care, thoughtfulness, and commitment that I would give my own daughters. I want every young woman at Chapelle to feel supported, encouraged, and confident that we are always striving to make the best decisions for her individual needs, growth, and future.
At Chapelle, our students get an academic experience that is engaging, student-centered, and rooted in meaningful, intentional instruction. Our teachers create dynamic learning environments where students are encouraged to think critically, explore new ideas, collaborate, and apply what they learn to real-world experiences. Most importantly, our teachers take the time to know each student individually, recognizing her strengths, nurturing her interests, and providing the support and challenges she needs to reach her full potential.
We strive daily to create an environment where teachers feel valued and inspired, students are excited to learn, and families feel confident that their daughters are receiving the support, opportunities, and education they need to thrive.
Known by Name,
At Chapelle, we are dedicated to excellence in learning both inside and outside the classroom. We believe that some of the most meaningful learning happens when students have the opportunity to experience what they are studying. Our teachers create incredible experiential learning opportunities in the classroom that encourage students to explore, collaborate, think critically, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways.

The ARC
Research
Collaboration
Open to all
The ARC is open before, during, and after school for all faculty and students, making it the official hub of academics, research, and collaboration.

Six new classrooms are coming to Chapelle as part of Incarnate Word Hall and they mark an exciting new chapter for our school. These new spaces are necessary as interest in Theology and Campus Ministry continues to expand and our student population rises steadily each year. The classrooms will give our teachers room to try fresh approaches to learning, so every student has the chance to grow, explore, and thrive. Above all, Incarnate Word Hall will help shape a campus that is thoughtfully designed and firmly rooted in faith, academics, and the future.

At Chapelle, we take our mission very seriously. We know that the development of the full student is the ultimate goal and with that in mind, we focus on the best high school experience possible. From honor societies and tech clubs, to performance groups and campus ministry, there is a place for every chipmunk to thrive and use her talents.
Our Mission
The mission of Archbishop Chapelle High School is the establishment of a Catholic educational community of excellence in which the spiritual, academic, and social development of our students is accomplished, trusting that Deus Providebit...God Will Provide.

RISE
RISE exists to provide a Christ-centered community for all Chapelle athletes in order to grow in their faith, discover their true identity in Christ, support one another, and use their God-given gifts to impact and serve others. We strive together on and off the field, court, or course to remain rooted in Christ and to never allow our foundation in Christ to be shaken.
A space to pause amid busy schedules and reflect on who God is and who He created them to be.
Through prayer, Scripture, conversation, and community, athletes grow closer to Christ and remember that their identity is not defined by their performance.
A space to recognize the impact they have on the people around them, especially their teammates, by living out the gospel.
The goal is not simply to be a successful athlete, but to reveal Christ’s presence to everyone they meet.
Athletes are challenged to use their gifts, talents, and opportunities to serve others with humility, generosity, and love.
“Even as the Son of man came not to be served but to serve…” (Mt 20:28)
An environment of encouragement, accountability, and faith.
Here, athletes can be honest about their struggles, disappointments, and failures, knowing they are never alone. They are not competing against one another, but lifting each other up in and outside of their sport.
Performance
There are so many ways to be part of the school community, and showing your school spirit on a performance team is one of the best.
At Chapelle, family is not just a figure of speech. It is the senior who takes her Lil Sis under her wing, the mom who walked these halls as a Chipmunk and now cheers from the stands, the dad who found his lifelong friends in the Men’s Club, and the grandmother who gathers with Grandparents Club to share in every milestone. Sisterhood weaves Chapelle so deeply into a girl’s life that she carries it with her long after graduation, and she always finds her way back home. That is Deus Providebit lived out every day; a community rooted in Christ that knows every girl by name and loves her as its own.

Head of School

To belong to Chapelle means so much more than attending a school or being part of an institution. It means that somewhere along the way, Chapelle becomes more than a place you come to each day. It becomes a part of you. It becomes woven into the fabric of your life so deeply that its traditions, its people, its values, and its mission become part of your own story.
When something is woven into your life, it is no longer something you simply experience; it is something you carry with you. You carry the memories of the people who touch your life, the lessons that shape your character, the friendships that sustain you, and the moments that remind you that you are part of something bigger than yourself.
And there is a feeling that comes with belonging to Chapelle. It is a feeling of connection, pride, comfort, gratitude, and love. It is the warmth you feel when you walk onto campus and recognize the faces around you. It is the joy of sharing a tradition, the comfort of knowing that people care about you, and the pride that comes from being part of a community that believes in something meaningful. It is the realization that you will not simply pass through Chapelle; you will help to shape it.
At the heart of Chapelle is our Catholic faith. Belonging here is rooted in the understanding that each person is created by God with dignity, purpose, and unique gifts to share. We are called not only to know one another, but to care for one another; not only to celebrate our own successes, but to lift others up; and not only to be part of a community, but to be a reflection of Christ within it.
Long after the school day ends, long after your graduation day, long after you have moved on to a new chapter in life, that feeling remains. When Chapelle is woven into your life, you never completely leave it behind. You carry a piece of it with you, just as you leave a piece of yourself here.
Our founders, the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, left a piece of themselves here too. This summer, the round building that was once their chapel and home made way for Incarnate Word Hall, the largest construction project since the founding of our school. At its heart will be a 270-seat chapel, surrounded by six new Theology classrooms, an outdoor classroom and a renewed grotto. Their name and their faith will greet every girl who follows.
That is what it means to belong to Chapelle. It is not simply where you go to school. It is who you become, the people who walk beside you, the faith that grounds you, and the legacy you leave for those who follow. Chapelle becomes part of who you are, and once it finds its way into your heart, it remains there.
My prayer is that each of you finds a high school where you truly belong.
Remembering Deus Providebit...God Will Provide,
Head of School
I look forward to guiding you through the application process and helping you make the first step in your high school journey.
